Friday: Had to clear two hot projects off my desk in time to get back home to sick, feverish Kate and allow Dan to get to a 2:30 patient. Check. I didn’t feel too hot myself that day, but didn’t run a temperature or puke, so I pushed on through.
Saturday: 3 a.m. Running a temp. Begged Dan to take Kate, who was kicking the crap out of me, out of our bed and into her own. And to stay with her so she wouldn’t come back into our bed. He stepped up like a champ and did it. She cried for a bit. I popped a Tylenol.
8 a.m. Still running a temp (monitored all day, and didn’t go over 100; no puking; whew). Shelved all plans for the day, and hoped the children understood that momma needed a day on the couch. Kate was feeling much better, and Flora was fine. The girls were amazingly good, all things considered. Did a little laundry.
1 p.m. Nap for momma. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs for children.
3 p.m. Maybe should get children out of pajamas. They were amenable as long as skirts were involved. Kate didn’t want to poop on the potty, and kept marking her underpants. Very tired of that action. Gave her Miralax.
5 p.m. Showered. Texted Dan to bring home Chinese food.
7 p.m. Children went next door for sleep over. Husband channel surfed. I had heartburn almost all night. Apparently Chinese sounded much better as an idea than it actually was (for me, anyway). Dan and I ended up watching Iron Man 2 on On Demand, and really liked it. Bed for me at 10:30 p.m.
Sunday: Feeling much better! Cleaning, church, visiting Nanny, planned Flora’s bday party, cooked dinner, laundry and more cleaning (also reading and resting a bit). Kate finally pooped on the potty (while visiting Nanny; apparently she needed a strange potty. Kids!). Steelers started losing, and I finally went to bed around 11:00 p.m. Which is too late considering BOTH girls decided they needed to sleep with me at 5:10 a.m.
Yeah, yeah, I have Halloween stuff. Tomorrow.
