Red Pen Mama

I am the 37-year-old mother of two girls, Monkey and Bun. Monkey is 3 years old; Bun is 13 months. We are also parents of a boy, who was stillborn in 2003. My husband, DearDR, and I have been married for seven years. We live outside of Pittsburgh PA — much further outside than I would like.

I have spent many years as a freelance writer and copy editor, with some graphic design (i.e. page layout) thrown in; I have also worked full-time as a writer and editor. After Bun was born, some freelance work trickled in, but it wasn’t much. My tax return should rock this year.

After a year of being a stay-at-home mom — an inadvertent choice on my part — I am entering the work force again as a full-time writer.

Some things are going to have to change around here. We’ll see how it goes.
